That winch is a good bit of value for money,I know a fella using one of them and he's well pleased.I paid another £170 for my similar powered "Champion."
Nice to have the remote too,can load up out of the rain!

hi ghost i kept buying a winch and selling to my mates this is the 4th one ive bought of him and i havent used mine yet but mates are happy with theres my other winch i gave £260 + £160 for a remote so i thought it was a good deal

ive just been extending cables so i can place remote box under body out the way and im putting andersons plugs on to use jump leads with out lifting bonnet etc.

The plugs will be well handy on the front.I always carry a battery pack too in case you get into real trouble...Bought the red Ghia X model from Machine Mart which started my old Iveco easily on -0 mornings.Heavy + large tho.
Dragged a Montery on the back yesterday without drama loading a customers trailer that had no winch.Well pleased for the money..Extra £300 gets you a Warn sticker...

i usually pull along side and pull up trailer ramps when loading others or if trailer is on just jacknife a bit to miss trailer headboard but its on thats the main thing i carry battery pack but keep forgetting to charge it

Good to have a rest from it sometimes or it takes your life over don't it. You're brave tho,camping in this weather.Sure you wouldn't rather be near a warm welder???

im back not that wet neather plenty of drink carnt wait to get back to work
got a few interested in mk5 recovery so would like it done now .
to get a few quid back in

ive had the wife and kids on there hols and yesterday wife graduated well done so back to work


started on my headboard

drilled 4 holes in each side
and got a bit of plate drilled 4 holes in plate
bolted them together
and welded the bolts onto the backs of the plate
but the sides and headbord together
and tacked them together





gone together nicely they really made a good job of folding steel






ive got a nice gradual slope up
i got the pieces made a shade longer to cut down to suit
then i bolted it all up and cut the very top piece to size
and tacked it then unbolted it and welded it up



ive got plate cut to box the insides in so sides look like box section

heres one with light on to to see what it would look like

HI GHOST YES NEARLY READY DROPPED HEADBOARD OFF AT FAB TO GET HOLES CUT OUT FOR LIGHTS SO ILL PAINT IT LAST HOPING TO GET IT IN ETCH PRIMER TODAY AND IM PAINTING IT GENCIAN BLUE BOUGHT A GALLON YESTERDAY SO I MAY BE READY FOR MOT NEXT WEEK

ive been on all day masking truck up 1st masked cab up dont want any over spray on cab



then masked all chassis up no over spray wanted there neither



then da the sides scotched the other bits must of been on about 4 hours plus but a wise man once said to me ( think like a spray gun )

anyway gave it a coat of etch primer used nearly a gallon on it theres enough left for the headboard

but this is the body in primer




bought some nice plastic end caps just to finnish it off




so it will be blue tomorrow if all goes well
and also recieved headboard back from fab with holes cut out
but ill finnish that of last after painting body
what do you think





so ill post more tomorrow when in blue then after that its building everything back on which is the best bit i think

grafting under statement yes if ican get it blue today and box it up over week end then ill be on the road late next week just waiting end caps comming been on order about 2 month but they can be done last i supose

Well its blue looks great carnt wait now to get it boxed up
