:shock: :shock: :shock: That is quite a bit of rust there! Is that the worst side? Doing a good job, I wish I had enough courage back then to cut the arch the way you're doing it... :roll:

The other side is worse (round the arch at least) at the back but better at the front...

Having said that there doesnt appear to be as much filler in the bit between the arch and the next panel

Nipped into a local breakers today and they wanted £150+vat for a cylinder head :shock: and that was using my own labour to remove it :shock: :shock:

This project has officially stalled. I now have literally no spare time to work on the van until after transitmania :(

Okay... following a parts exchange at transitmania... (Thanks Andy and Altransit :D )

FLER lives :) Engine runs :D The only thing is that the exhaust blows, the little pipe from the top of the thermostat leaks and the stat housing needs a new gasket :) Nothing major there.

I turned up what I believed to be the fuelling screw, but it sent the idle right up so I put it back again! I guess that is the fuelling screw, and then you adjust the idle back to normal somewhere else? (The cable itself??)

But all in all I am pretty happy. I can move my van again!

wind the ine on the back facing forwards in then drop the tickover on the throttle stop, then adjust mid range for smoke

All I could add at the moment is a picture of a turbo engine with a bosch pump on it!
