The lovely wooden switch board is most likely heading for the bin. One of the past owners has covered the front and back in spotlights which also will be coming off. the only switch on there which has any use is the one for the horn. Where should the horn push really be?

were not sure on the bars yet. Something has hit the bars in the past and the bars have then put a small dent on the corner off the bull nose. Generally we're against bull bars and the colours were thinking of painting the camper, black bull bars wont go, could always chrome them. Hmmm chrome

Blimey, after wading through all the previous posts I thought this thing was supposed to be rusty I wish I had that little welding to do

Not much progress as yet due to the fact i need to liberate some funds (due soon) biggest sticking point is the fact its not easy to move due to the clutch being stuck. I am planning to take the engine out sometime so will tackle it then.
Does anyone know where i can get a front crossmember from? I saw one on the bay but that was before i brought the van. I can fabricate one if push comesto shove but would be nicer for me just to get one unless they are silly money.
I will be needing some wheel cyls and master cyl too as the brakes are binding they are 7/8 on the front, what were these fitted to?

ive never had to split a engine and box to free a clutch off - have you tried it with the back end jacked up then slam on the brakes

Have tried my best at that, With the brakes not working i used the handbrake which stalled the engine.
I want to take the engine out anyway so its not bother.

why don't you change to a front axle of a mk2 twin wheeler with disc brakes, it will be far better , considering it will be carrying some weight at the back , it would make life easier, especialy if you find a mk3 servo and fit it. if the pedals are not through the floor then im not sure what you can do.

When I took the box off MuttleyIII I had to prise the driven plate off the flywheel with a bar and it left half the friction material on the flywheel If the van has stood in a damp place for a long time the rust on the flywheel becomes attached to the clutch plate and can be a sod to get off
