The odd big brother, trying to restore a rusty A-series

There is no passengerferries to England from Norway anymore...

The easiest and least expensive way to gor there is a drive to Rotterdam, and a ferry to Harwich:)

1500 Km in an A series, THAT is a long trip:)

Well, the A series resto have been sat on hold during the summer. will post more when we starts up again in the late fall:)

Well, even if we have had a lot to do, we have done some on the old A series over the last weeks...

Now when the temperature is good we have started to look over the brakes... all four drums are in exellent condition... same goes for the brake shoes(except for one side in front where the seal for the bearings where shot, so they were covered in grease)
I might come with some pictures later:)

we now need to find some new, or someone to refurbish our wheelcylinders... they arent smooth inside anymore... Have sent a mil to ATE, which are the manufacturer, maybe they can come up with somethings

Also did some real therapy yesterday, since we were both late for our workshop monday... so we started the old york 6 cylinder in the enginestand... and it only needed a few sprays of starter fluid as it have been standing for over a year:)

Just believe me when I say there will be enough job for the winter as well...

The cab is sitting in a part of the shop which we can heat up during the winter... the chassis have to be done when there is temperature enough...

so we will continue on the cab in the winter...
