Heheh just had a wee spend up on ebay for some toys for van, new horns, another back box same as one hanging out side currently,
Gotta measure under bonnet soon to see if the capri sportex manifolds will fit...
One defo will fit on n/s but might need to chop #3 cylinder s collector and move it forward...
So next job measure distance from bulkhead to back exhaust port!

Took van out for spin today... leccy pas pump total success ! works great! back to one handed steering when manouvering!! SWEET 8)
the pump does squeal a bit every now and again, think the motor bearings might be bit dry!

seen to be down on power over 4500 rpm currently, feels like its holding back. think its exhaust related tho as i did recently plate the o/s head. guess i need to bore out the holes in the plates or go sportex route!

still above all i now have pas so im chuffed. defo need to fit an interrupt switch as its a hungry wee motor!

Still pondering on the whole power loss over 4k...
Had a few days to think it over, hopefully it is carb related cos I did turn one if the fuel mixture screws in at north weald... It is properly loose!

so will find out soon if i was right, whacked the n/s fuelling up a full turn, and would you adam and eve it - Emma was helping me grimex wipe the underside of the bonnet and scuttle whilst i did other bits of the engine bay! just hope the fkin thing dont break down on us on way  or any enthusiasm she may have for the van (which really aint much!) will quickly evaporate!

looking forward to the mania, shes even talking bout helping me vacuum the van out lol 8)

Wow ! Van now vacuumed and tidied inside front middle and rear!
Tidiest the van has ever been! Even removed crap from rear and started to
Load the camping gear for Transitmania!

Had 10 mins earlier to finally install the wee voltmeters I got from Hongkong ages ago...
I made a small square ish hole in a blanking plate for headlamp adjustment and squeezed em in. One for each battery, as its good to see what the voltage is especially as I now have about 1.2kw of cooling fan and possibly 500w plus draw from powersteering pump.

I desperately need to fit a cut off switch for the pas pump for motorways etc ill do it in the week,
Easy job just need to find a decent looking switch to match the others I fitted for PA and cooling fan override
Will have to pay my old local car shop a visit on Felmores tomo.

Will upload more pic later when Aaron goes to sleep!
