I was thinking of going up the M11/A14/A45, a little longer but less traffic, last year was a total pain on the M1.
via M1 =95 miles
via M11 = 110 miles

Any thing to avoid cooking up in traffic!

I reckon that's a plan, will go that route too then!
I'll stay in touch Fri, if we leave earlier we will be only doing 65 so you may catch up,
Or if your done early ish will follow you guys !

still got cb in the van, although the range is a bit 10-1...
Van broke down this morning! went to shop on the way to work, came back out and wouldnt start :roll:

Had to leave it there in the end, Geoff went out and had a look during the day, found there wasnt a pulse to the coil, went back again later with Nick tried another ignition module, but found it was the dizzy had died :evil: all running again, dropped the dizzy in and it fired first time, bit easier to do now the engine has been moved 4 inches forward :lol:

Looking at standing voltages in my van batteries, looks like I got a dead cell in each, sitting at 11v... Still aint ever paid for one in the 3 years I owned the van so I can't really moan!
Shame my pal no longer fixes ambulances tho LOL

Result, main battery only the second battery holding full charge wahoo

Bit o last min wiring tonight methinks sort the pas out with a switch...
Got a few illuminated switches from Maplins earlier...

Seriously tempted to cut aperature out of sld for the window I got ages ago...

Anyone know if its easy to pop in the window once hole cut?get the impression its a two man job getting the window and rubber in...?

Do you have a grinder with a thin disc?

Mine is about 5mm thick!

Why don't we do this in the pit stop tent.

We could get some of the forum bodywork 'Gurus' involved, do a demonstration for the 'masses'.

Have washed and scrubbed the rust free bits so no grubby hand prints then please. :lol:

Oh yeah the mother in law was ere when i got home, and emmas sister #1 so I slipped out into van and ran my pas isolator switch. Well chuffed cos I got some wee illuminated switches and they fit snugly amongst factory switches and blanks . Even got a sheet of decals for labelling switches on kit cars!
Cooling fan override switch matches, sitting now next to pas cut out. Another one for PA not yet fitted as still deciding where to fit! Plus its red and the other two are green!

So. A good use of time methinks. Funnily enough still got moaned at LOL
