im not sure if he has seen it or not he knew i had an adapter plate before but you needed a transit auto ring gear aswell as the flywheel which i found hard to get my hands on thats why i went down the other route
anyway the guy said the adapter for the thrust bearing replaces the short one in the pic
otherwise it goes through thrust bearings like theres no tomorrow

hi all

im back
right i aint done anything this last year due to time, money a new pregnancy(not me the misses lol) and other commitments

the last engine i got wasnt of much use to me as the engine mounts woudnt quite line up due to it being an earlier type v8 also the timing case is larger causing the crank pulley to foul the front cross member.rather than refabricate everythning
ive decided to get stuck back into it.

ive dragged out one of the old v8's that i have previously fitted and decided to do a full rebuild. that way i have a recon engine that shoudnt cause me any hassle.
also i know it fits whith out changing anything.
ive stripped it, cleaned it and have applied the first coat of paint to the block and im about to apply the second coat
then in the morning its a trip to v8 deveopments to pick up the new parts
:D :D :D
