a diesel focus will always be cheaper to run with its 1.8 and 1200kg vs 2.5litres and 1700kg...

Yeah, if I was in the transit I would be looking at an extra £25ish a week in fuel... and it would take longer to get to work

Not a lot has happened with this since Transitmania, its been on a few trips to Rugby/Northampton and all around Sussex performing well...

But its really really noisy. I will have to put some sound deadening in soon (the stuff from the engine bay has all been removed as it was disgusting).

I have also finally got the seats I wanted... 2 late single tourneo GLX drivers seats to go up front and replace the knackered seats and the triple from the tourneo to go in the back (its the rear bench so will fold up).

Also to go in is a good floor mat with the tourneo carpet over it, the rear tourneo carpet (cut to suit the rear seats) and the full tourneo headlining with eyeball lights etc.

This is part of an attempt to clear out some of the tourneo bits I have in my workshop  the paint needs a little touching up and the new paint scheme applied also. Hopefully this will happen when it starts getting warmer again! This will include an engine out & clean up (including the engine bay).

What are you going to do about the under bonnet sound proofing ?
its a problem I have come across just lately, and can't get the original stuff anywhere

Im going to leave it off... Its much nicer to work in the engine bay, and looks nicer without it. I will be applying a lot of dynamat/fatmat to the inside of the bulkhead

I assume you mean the stuff on the bulkhead? If you mean the stuff actually on the underside of the bonnet... I have several of those

Yeah I managed to get the underside of the bonnet stuff, its the bulkhead I can't get, not sure what to do. After 20 miles my bloody ears are ringing.

When its pay day I plan to get some sound proofing - but it may be a while (summer) until I actually get round to installing it!

Hmm

Few bits and pieces done since the last update... and its MOT is due soon

It now has 5 seats! 2 single tourneo seats and a rear (fold up) bench seat, with the tourneo carpeting in the back. I still have the headlining to fit. (im just uploading some pics)

Im part way through fitting a new caliper and disks/pads because the old one was seized (passed the MOT back in June though  ) and I need to work out why the central locking has stopped working

Oh and I have started fitting a front mounted intercooler, making a "racing" LPG kit, a boost controller (but no guage yet  ) and another addition for North Weald...
