Yeah, that was the plan. Now it's on though, I like the bar in the middle.
I might even spray the stainless mesh gloss black when it's in,
cos I don't want to change it too much at all now,
and don't want it too Essex. (oops, did I say that out loud? )

Its narrower between the headlights, but it will graft into the MK3 with a bit of work, then weld the MK3 screw ends on and top retaining clips/brackets. Its one of the things I looked at before doing mine. I have got plans for another one, but its finding the time...

By the way Paul, I told you it would work did it cover the gap either side? Its looking really good

Cheers Alan It very nearly covers the gaps.
I planned to fibre-glass the gaps, but worry about it cracking at the joins
and looking wavey over time, so I'm now thinking I may just mesh them.

By the way, I just fitted a Pheonix Gold 10db signal booster,
and it's worked a treat for the low ipod output
I picked it up on ebay for only twenty five notes.
Any news on your new sounds yet?

I have noticed that is well, the quality from Ipod to head unit is not that great CD's sound way better. I guess I will have to get something similar to what you have.


Well my Blue van is gone (sold) took all my sounds out which took ages lol. I am planning on starting the new sounds upgrade mid next year when I have the funds.

Looking at 2 x 18" solo X Kickers and a kicker War amp to run them 5000rms Each! there is no sub which can match this pr beat this except the MTX jack hammer which cost like £1000000000000000.00

What speakers you using for you Mid bass Paul? Also where you plan on mounting these?

CDs will always be better sound quality that music from an ipod.
At best it's a slightly degraded copy (WAV etc),
at worst it's compressed format (mp3 etc) where you lose a lot of detail and extension.

I got it because my ipod has a very low voltage output,
so I've been having to use my 500w rms amp on the mids n tweeters
Not any more.
I can now use my Genesis on the fronts and move the 500 to the sub.
Still only got one DVC Punch 15. Not found any for sale for the last year or so

My midbass will be a pair of Rockford 6s and a pair of JL 6s.
Some serious kick
They'll be going in tuned enclosures at the bottom of the front doors.
Like to keep the whole soundstage right up front.
