Some progress at last!
Now its a long weekend i have decided to do some work,
Yesterday i removed the front end and lifted the engine out giving me a chance to look deeper into the rust which is not that bad

. Now I'm able to look at the bulkhead its not as bad as i thought. Big issue is the front valence and the member behind it.
With the engine in the hoist i could finally get at the clutch which needed some taps with a hammer while leavering the pressure plate off then dropping the pressure plate on the floor from about a foot up, to jar the friction disk off. All the parts look good but will replace the spigot bearing.
I then got a phone call saying the MIG welder i was borrowing was available, so went and collected that and had a quick welding lesson, as its been 10 years since i MIG welded.
Maybe going to the Bristol show/autojumble tomorrow so be looking for goodies need a 6 branch exhaust. . . .
More to follow
