Well I've done pretty much nothing to the van for 2 months as I've been so busy with work and life in general!

But but I got a little but further forward with it this afternoon,

Arch needs a few more welds in it but everything lines up pretty well (good enough for me anyway  )

The other side can wait until summer!

Also thinking of giving it a paint job

No not pleasant at all! Although at least when you're under the van you're not getting rained or snowed on

Got absolutely soaked working on the shogun the other day, hail stones and then snow

Anyway stuck a new battery on it today and it started after a couple of tries and ran nicely :D

Will be sending you a pm soon Tim as I'm going to need some more panels as I've decided to keep my mk5. Sometimes it's better the devil you know.

Slowly but surely it's getting there, this weekend I...

Got the wing painted
Image
Just needs some lacquer on it now

got the new grill painted and meshed
Image

And made a bracket for the front bumper
Image
Not pretty but will do the job, need to make one for the other side but once again couldn't find my welding wire  I know I've got another reel of it somewhere :x

New bumper and grill fitted
Image

The grill needs a little tweaking as it looks a bit wonky but I think that's more to do with the support brackets as they're bent all over the place so will need to replace them at some point.

And the A bar bolted back up

Well I had no work booked in for today and the weather was quite nice for a change so I decided to get on with it

Door off, welding finished, welds ground back, bit of filler and some primer
Image

Then some white primer
Image

Then got some paint on and the door on
Image

The door needs some aligning but was near impossible on my own

Unfortunately I have done nothing with this since then and it is currently being used as a storage shed until I can find a half decent lock up I can keep my stuff in. Once I have the lock up it will be sold as I just don't have the time to carry on with it
