If it's enough for you to be worrying about distilled water then it is to much.

Started the van up and happily it started first time. However the battery low light stays on, even after I left the engine ticking over for 5 mins.

wont go off till you rev it

It wasn't enough to be worrying about it. I bought the distilled water because I didn't know how bad it was.

When I opened the caps, the plates (which is all that is supposed to be covered) were covered. I believe all that had escaped was excess.

I am pretty sure that once the battery is fully charged (after it is next driven) it will be fine. Afterall, I did get it to start the engine three times in a row.

Keep the receipt and write on the top the date of fitment. you should get 12 months warrantee (terms and conditions etc).

It is the API which differs between the oil I have and the recommended.

How the heck do you tell if you have 14 or 15" wheels? Just measure them, or is there a marking on the rims / other?

Reason I ask is, it isn't easy for me to get to the van, so if I can tell from a photo...

I think if you have standard wheels they will be 14 inch

yes i have a 94 transit sat on standard rims and there 14's

The Motor factors is in West Yorkshire. I just didn't have the time to go over and get the stuff....


Anyway progress:

Dropped the van off with a garage this evening.

360quid for the rear cross-member and front arches, front disc brakes, pads, brake pipes, track rod ends, roll bar, and MOT.

I think thats a bloody good price considering the other guy wanted 350+ just to weld the back...


Should get an MOT'd van back in about a week.

New timing belt
New fan belt
New complete exaust

installed.


Don't fancy doing the timing belt myself...
