Went out on Wednesday to pick up a Euro Emergency Breakdown Kit
for a trip to France that night, and my steering felt odd.
Nearing home the van starting to pull to the right Uh-Oh

Stopped at home and the drivers side front wheel was shmokin big time.
Smelled like clutch.
Hub was about a thousand degrees cee Holy sheet

Had some new discs to fit anyway, so set about stripping it all down Thursday.
Top caliper hanger bolt was seized, and the head rounded (one of the 15mm ones).
Gave up till Friday. Had another go. Failed. Gave up again.
Managed to remove it today (Saturday).

Fitted new disc to hub,
filed down the head of the rounded bolt to 14mm,
pushed pistons into caliper to make room for new disc (pistons moved ok)
and re-assembled.
Pads are about 8 weeks old, and bearing is about 10 weeks old.
Hub/disc spun freely, no probs.

Started van pumped brakes.
Just been round the block,
brakes work lovely, but the disc is red hot again

Any ideas?

The wheel hub didn't heat up on this short journey so not bearing, defo the disc.
I'm gonna strip the caliper in the morning.
Been racking my brain cell (which is now also overheating)
and reckon that despite the fact that I was able to move the pistons in,
they must be sticking a bit.
Sh1te behind the rubbers probably.

yeah worth a try happened on mine too doesnt normally happen on cars much but seems to be common on transits mabe due to the bend the flexi goes through with the huge lock they have

Thirded, the flexis can give way internally and act like a one way valve holding the brakes on.
