Theres plenty of people in the uk going the other way (from di to pinto) because of the London Emmissions . Perhaps someone on here would want your setup in a swap .

Diesel is now more expensive than petrol . But in France and the continent is still much cheaper .

just fit a nice weber carb. just put a 32/36 onto my pinto, now has what feels like extra 50% power. its sooooo loud now but sooo much fun, feel 18 again

After a short break i did some more work on the Transit, but no pics yet cause i got no time for it.

- Changed nearly the whole cooling system (pipes and T-bones -> now pro-made out of stainless steel)
- Changed rear brakes
- New exhaust
- New underbody coat (special oil & some kinda wax)
- Changed some bearings (front right, rear right)
- Fixed some oil-leaks on the engine
- Changed transmission oil from 75W90 to ATF (thanks to those idiots giving me the wrong oil, now it shifts like butter)
- Removed the fog-lights (wheren't on the papers yet)
- 2 new batteries

So finally i got the car test without any probs except from the horn
Rock'n'Roll! Just made some 800 kilometers without any probs (total 230.000kms now)! Fuel consumption around 11-12 liters on the highway (maybe 13-14 in the city), which is kinda ok. But the valves are not adjusted and also the fuel mix is little too fat. I think i'll leave it like that for now, i'm happy that it runs that good at all. And all that after the second engine freeze in it's lifetime! I had enough antifreeze for a normal winter but all of a sudden temperature went down to -20 Celsius!! Anyway, everything fine

EDIT: I forgot, a friend of mine started to play with chrome-tape while i was repairing serious things - I didn't stop him.. So now i also got some oldschool chrome-details on my van. I'm not very motivated, but i guess time will remove this crap xD

Maybe i can make some pics this weekend if i don't forget.. I love those transits! Took a look at newer transits (after 2000) and they are constructed like sh*t. Mostly open from underneath, nothing to protect the engine :/ Maybe they are nice, pretty, fast & don't consume too much fuel. But i prefer to drive a tank without servo

Thanks! I made those doorboards quick & dirty, so not too much precision. After all the rumbling the glue also has some small cracks, so i will repair them in a while. Anyway, they are very usefull, lots of space & good sound! Love them One day maybe i'll upholster them with some nice tartan cloth, like my shoes.

Here it's not allowed to change to lower emission hardware. So i got single point fuel injection with cat & lambda-sensor and can't change to carbs
Lately i fell in love with this megasquirt computer! Would be very cool to have it installed on my pinto But first i need some money, a place to work on the car and stuff so don't expect to see anything like that on my Ford soon.

camshaft well worth investigating, range from mild to savage power bands!!!! can get a good mid way for road use and you ll not use much more fuel as more air in, more exhaust out!!! more efficient!! dramatically changed my beloved bmw e30 316i

I was thinking to lift the van to have some more space underneath for very bad roads / semi-"offroad" that i was driving from time to time and probably will in the future. Till now i managed to drive those roads with the help of clever steering & spinning wheels The roads on the pics are not the worst i've driven. Anyway, is there an easy way to lift the van? I got single springs in the rear.. Do the rear springs of other vans fit on the mk3 for example?
