We have a Focus box here if you still need one, came from a 54 plate Tdci we stripped for parts.
ME3 postcode if that is close enough for you.

cheers Tim not sure on the gear ratio on the diesel box will look in to that, also with the new bigend shells and piston rings(another £100), today I found when I stripped down the original block that the conrod has taken out the oil cooler too. The engine I got from the scrap yard didn't have one on it but I wasn't worried as I thought I could use mine :( more expense!

Thanks for the offer Tim I'll let you know either way soon as I can

I found out its a resonator apparently, its suppost to keep the noise of the turbo down...... so its coming out so I can put a 45 bend reducer in, then I have room for a T piece ally pipe for dump valve :D

So I got her running today :P runs beautifully tappets need doing but I knew they would, I can't do the shims as I don't have any so thats something to get done.
One problem so far, how much oil spitting out of the turbo outlet pipe is to much?? I fired her up without any turbo hoses on and on tick over all is good but when I took the revs up to about 3k the turbo spits out oil. Should it do that???

I think my cats blocked.... :? turbo hoses swell when you rev the engine, as I've been running it in and not giving it any real gas I didn't notice the lack of any oomph but it really has none and the exhaust gas from tail pipe is overly hot. There are "type approved" cats on ebay with a 2 year guarantee for £80 anyone tried them??

cats not the problem :? still has no oomhp, wouldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding.
Runs fine, timing has been checked, no miss fire, can feel turbo working and see hoses swelling when revving stationary. There's no smoke from exhaust but exhaust gas is really hot, which is what made me think cat was blocked..... I fitted an egr blanking plate is there something else I should of done to the egr??
On the bulkhead just left of the brake/clutch fluid there are 2 sensors, one looks like a map sensor (if it was a petrol) no idea what the other does but it has a vacuum pipe to air box?? anyone shed some light on them?? also I have no air filter in it yet that wouldn't affect it would it??

A few more jobs done....

Hoses came to £61 bought individually from ebay, the intercooler is from a focus. Its a bit bigger and I need to make a mounting bracket for one side as the bolt holes don't quite line up.

Looks alot better without the flash of the camera!

Covered the whole roof front to back in sound matting for when the stereo goes in but I noticed a big difference in the rain last night, it no longer sounds like your in a metal drum ! :D

So after a visit to Vantuner, Martyn did a great job and remapped the ecu, did a leak test on injectors which passed with flying colours, but we still don't know why it has no power at low rev's. Its as if it has really bad turbo lag all the time from 1000 rpm to 2 and a bit then its like a bullet out of a gun (well not quite but she does get up and go well!)
Anyone have any suggestions?
