seriously the car was stolen 6 yrs ago ill double check the reg but im 99.9% sure thats 1 mate if it is ill have to ring the old bill

possibly is yours - recovered by the insurance company and then sold on via auction - once you've claimed the money you have no more interest in it and it's theirs to sell

up date on this its having the front drivers side wing sorted cut from a mk4 for the arch only

drivers side sill
back pass side quoter
and bottom panel below the drivers side back sliding door would be

but 1st job is a new pass side spring as its snaped could explain the right hand corners are crap nerly rolls over will get pic this week of the snaped spring orded a new one
then a rub down all over and them gray primer and its being 2k diamond white with the blue stripes at back in 3 shades of blue and some castrol decels on bottom of the front doors

and a colin mcrae sig on the back doors

what we done so far tock the gear leave of with the t40 x3 bolts that that sorted
starter motor removed

two gear box nuts removed still 2 in for holding it up for now
all nuts removed from gear box

prop shaft bolts removed using a t55

Right time for a question.

I appear to have a heavy duty clutch as it was an ex Omega Special Order Vehicle used for parcel delivery this was told to me by a guy on ebay who sells the clutches for £45 odd quid when i phoned to ask if it would fit my van.
The heavy duty is £160.
Stamped on the cluth cover is TYP MF265 i have been told this is because the clutch is 10.5" rather than 9.5" as standard.

Would I be better off swapping the flywheel for the standard size and using the cheaper smaller clutch?

That is if I can get the box off as it is stuck probably because the 2 access rubbers were missing so allowing water and then rust to get a hold on the clutch parts.

I wish i'd left it alone now as I only wanted to sort out the knackered quadrant adjuster that was replaced and when the clutch was tried I got a noise from the bell housing and the release arm fell off or rather the bearing came off the arm.

The bearing as a clip missing on the back now so it's got to come out and have a replacement clutch.

I have had it 6 years now so it need one I suppose.

when you get to the flywheel , you will find it has 2 sets of pressure plate fixing holes , one for the smaller, and one for the larger clutch, so no need for another flywheel
So up to you which clutch you want to fit.

You sure, My MK5 only had one set

As for getting it off did you remember the 8mm bolt holding the dust guard on

I have done a how to aswell if you need it

As far as I know if its fitted with a big clutch it should also have the standard clutch drilled holes as well.
My hi cube had this arrangement..
