Well, its time I updated this post. Been adding a few new bits over the past couple of days. Few more things to do over the next week:

Installed external shower

To Do:

Adding two more 110ah leisure batterys under the bonnet. Relocated washer bottle and coil pack to make space, bulding frame tomorrow to hoise two batterys stacked on top of each other (next to engine on chassis rail).

Adding spare wheel holder to rear door. Already built basic frame, still got to finish off when I have some bolts tomorrow.

Full underseal

Fit extractor fan in rear door near cooker.

Righteo guys, been busy last two days.

Got my spare wheel carrier finished. No pics of wheel off, but here are it with some on:

Well, final update for this most recent set of modifications. And todays mod was....a extractor fan near the cooker. Find it gets a bit 'muggy' inside when cooking and boiling water, so decided an extractor fan would be the best way to go.

I got a 12v Vent Axia one, fitted it and wired it up to the van 12v electrics, only to find it didnt work! Read the instructions, and it turns out it requires 12v, 50Hz, which meant i had to use the transformer it came with, and go from 240v to 12v.

Thankfully, I have an inverter in the van in the glove box, so I tapped a new cable into that, and converted a set of sockets i the rear, which used to be wired up to the mains system, to the inverter 240v system.

Soooo, now having 240v electrics in the rear I could wire up the fan as per the manufacturers instructions using the supplied transformer.

Outside. The piece on the outside didn't come with the fan, got is from Jacksons, only £5! It also has a flap on it so the wind cant get it.





So thats the final modification for the latest phase!

Well, its been a while since i last updated this, but I had a couple of weeks over christmas working on the van with my dad (who as always has been very patient and helpful!). When we built it, the interior was taken out of our old caravan, infact very old. So the interior was looking a little tired. I decided it was time for a complete unit overhaul, including:

New doors
New door furniture
New fitted oven
New front seats (taken out of E36 bmw)
Gas bottle locker between seats
New oak worktops
New taps (one mixer for general use, one single cold for filtered drinking water, so can fill up tanks from rivers etc!)

Anyway, pictures can paint a 1000 words, so here are the progress pics. Unfortunately, not got one of the finished article, but will take one tomorrow.

Cheers! Yea its the only place I could find to fit a large bottle, was fed up of having to mess around with removing gas bottle from back and plugging it in outside the van!
