1) Those holes are used to access the rear lights so you can change the bulbs and stuff.
2) That cover covers the end of the shock absorbers. I asked that in my thread, so that how I know! :D
3) (a guess) - This tells the air blower where to blow the air (face or feet)

:)

Your goodies look nice. I need a battery tray too :(

cheers Ucof,

Thought they were for light access - I'll leave them so you can get to them in that case!

More goodies to come tomorrow with any luck then I can get everything in - hopefully have it all cleaned out by tonight.

currently got the cab in pieces on the street :) its keeping the neighbours entertained at any rate!

aw thats hardly fair now is it?

more goodies arrived today but still no wiring type bits so STILL can't fasten anything together.

currently re-building the van indoors, much to the frustration of my flatmates.

Off to find some cleaning stuff for the roof and seats and dash now, well after I've mopped the cab floor mat thing anyhow.

as an aside - Just how tempting is it to keep unscrewing things all the time - I must've told myself "I don't NEED to undo this" about a 1000 times!

Pics in a little while

Where is it?

I'm very jealous that you managed to get your seats out. :( The nuts on mine, I assume, have been superglued together :(
Once I get the seats out, I could then get the mat and underfloor clean.

Its looking nice though.
What will you be doing in the back?

Ucof - underneath the hole in the dash on the passenger side, just above the glovebox.

You could take the entire seat and rails out if you have a T35 (I think, could be T40) torx (star head) bolt - would probably be easier than the nuts.

Plans for the back involve folding bed/sofa, full insulation and space to store my bike.

Nah, I tried the torx bit, even with a generous amount of WD40 type stuff - still wont move at all. Problem mainly is that I don't have a static torx screw driver, only a bit with a ratchet type driver. Every time I try to put some twist pressure on, the ratchet slips.

I might have to go buy one instead :(

ah, a ratchet would've been REALLY useful for me - you get about 30 degrees rotation on the bolts - however they are those ones with the nylon inserts so don't come finger loose at all :( not looking forward to putting them back in!

Well, not updated in a while, as I've been away at a mtb race last weekend and on holiday over bank holiday so heres what I've been upto since then:

* Rear fully cleaned out and rustproofed
* Floor cut to shape
* Rear door panels cut
* RHS lower panel cut
* LHS rear panel upper and lower cut
* sliding door + RHS upper drawn out and awaiting cutting when the neighbours wont complain!

Pictures when its all done + fitted

to be done tomorrow:

* All panels cut out and fastened in place
* Insulation
* Rear Speakers

To be done after:

* Affix and wire in leisure battery + charging
* Sort out lighting and inverter
* Alter stereo to run off 2nd battery
* Begin building bed/cupboard frames
* Foam for bed needs upholstering
* Roof in rear needs cleaning (AGAIN! - any tips for REALLY stubborn stains?)
* Patch up drivers seat
