not much progress this weekend :( can't motivate myself with the weather :x ordered my plates - being sent to me hopefully wednesday :D

this is a drawing ive done of the layout plan - not exactly to scale but gives a good idea :D

Image

the bed at the back is at a high level and the space underneith is accesable from the back door. the toilet is at the other side and the cartridge will be unloaded via opening the back door too i plan to put a shower in too but it will only be seated as you cant really stand up in that area - but it will be ok for emergancys  the green seat is the bit ive made allready (base) and that folds down to make a double bed - the twin passanger seat folds forward so you can sit at the table and the drivers seat will hopefully spin round so you can sit in it at the table :D theres a wardrobe next to the toilet and the sink/hob bit is pritty self explanitary :D

I went through a few designs before this but with the van having the twin side doors it restricted me quite a bit - also i want to have a bike rack on the back door and with it being a lift up type i didnt really want it as a main access point :D

Today ive bought some underseal i got 6 tins (all the shop had) of 08861 3M Body Schutz 1Ltr you need a shultz gun to apply it, i like this stuff as it stays tacky and doesnt chip off :D i dont think 6 tins will be enough but at £3.28 a tin it's not a problem

if i get my plates it'll be at billing 8) - just an un insulated bare van tho

was thinking today i could insulate between the chassis under the floor of the van  - i'll fill in the gaps between the ribs (10mm i think) above the floor but i dont want to raise the floor at all as headroom is at a premium now

Very very nice van!

How do you go about getting one of these ex Fire transits then? Is there a website or something that sells them?

not done much with this as i promised myself i'd finish my pickup before starting this :) but i cant help myself doing little bits

made this towbar for it last week - not the prittyest thing but it's necessary :D normally i'd have made it stick out a bit more but it wont be doing much towing so i wanted it as hidden as possable :D
