Nothing more than fluid checks and milage done of late, the back wheels have clocked alot more miles than the fronts :D Just to prove that I did do some work to it here's a pick of the other window, improves vision no end. Funny that.

Bumhats broke it, my bad.

Been useing 'ahem' bio diesel and the last batch was a bit lard like, and well it didn't like it. Need to get out there and thin it somewhat to see if I can get away without draining and bleeding bleeding it all out. AARGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHH

Van has been staying fixed of late, it drove fine once the lard had mixed up/warmed up/turned back to oil :D I have topped up with pump derv since which has restored the godspeed performance as it was a bit sluggish for a while.

So in celebration, and in contrast to my penny pinching ways I've made a performance mod.

Racing steering wheel for the win.

Image

Swear it goes quicker now  and shifts are smooth as with the pool ball gear knob (well, once the clutch has warmed some)

Image

Even refitted the cowling so it don't look like a chordy anymore with all the ignition wires hanging out. The wheel was a bargain at £20 but the oh so poor quality mountney boss was another £25 and had to be drilled and tapped for this OBA italian leather badboy. All in over a quater of the purchase price of the van but money well spent I feel.

Note modded spare key in above pic, the rear door lock's a pig and the pony aftermarket key got fubar with some impatient opening so got fixed with a hell of a washer welded to it. Good as gold.

UUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM banded steels, me want them 8) 8) 8)

Progress - Washed it, first time since repaint :) even done most of the roof too.

Gonna need some repair panels some time soon, will be on the lookout for archs and wings going cheap and getting some practice on the mig.

Progress is dead slow in this here thread but have some more pics anyway.
This vans main purpose in life over the past 6 years has been to transport bikes and Sunday just gone saw us on the beach in Mablethorpe for some sandrace action. Camped the Saturday night in it as well :)

Image

Obviously we got stuck on the beach, once in the soft sand coming on and again leaving after it was parked up in the wet stuff for 4 hours or so

Loving it, you're running the same van doing the same thing on the same budget as me + your parking is 100% awesome :D . Just park it up anywhere and stick the hazards on, then f*** off

Thought you was up there somewhere, did keep an eye out too but no orange tranny sightings. Had a good day on the beach, chuffin' cold and wet but good fun.

Cheers, parking warden the other day did not have the same appreciation, scarppered before the ticket hit the screen so fingers crossed.

Have mostly today been down the scrappy taking bits of this

Image

Limited in what I could take due to position and forklift damage but got a few little bits including one of them wurrly roof vents, waiting for a call when the next one comes in :D
