A few fotos of the 100 BHP engine transplant :-

The old DI is out :D

Image

Isnt it empty in there

Image

100 BHP engine is in :)
Just a few finishing touches required

Image

All finished, note the BOSCH manual pump

Image

Fitted a BOOST gauge and Oil pressure gauge
She's currently set at 12 PSI Boost,WHAT A DIFFERENCE from the DI

This is the BOOST gauge take off (on the inlet manifold)

Image

Fitted a new stereo also

Just got to say that the engine transplant has TOTALLY changed the minibus.

Its obviously QUICKER,but also more economical too.

It also seems quieter.

Once again thanks to NIP, the transplant guru. CHEERS MATE.

Your right Bron, its like driving a TOTALY different vehicle.

I HAVE ACCELERATION :!: :!: :!:

Dont know if turning up the pump,1 1/2 turns, has increased the BHP,but it is faster than the wifes 110BHP pug expert :!:

Plus it drives so much smoother and quieter :D :D :D

She passed her MOT today :D

So it looks like she will be up for sale shortly,as i need a more Motorway friendly vehicle,

due to job change in the new year.

It will be heart breaking to see her go,but after giving up on the search for a better ratio DIFF,

it looks like a MK6 is the way forward. :(

UPDATE

Well the old MK5 minibus has gone to a new home. :(

And after about 5 weeks of NO Transit, ive bought an EX-RAC MK6.

Therefore ive joined the orange/tango brigade.

Image

Its a 2001,just over 100,000 miles,full mot and 6 mths Tax.

She needs a good clean in the cargo area(ex plasterer),but overall she seems in good condition.

Previously sold by MVS(near Sheffield), with LOADS of service history etc.......

Popped in to MVS on way home, for some missing bits, what nice, friendly people !!!!

I would HIGHLY recommend them,if anyone wants a Transit/EX RAC vehicle.

I would have done mate,i LOVED that vehicle, but needed a more modern/motorway friendly vehicle.

MK5 was a rocket up to 60(cheers nip),quicker than Laguna, but was screeming thereafter.

The MK6 was cruising at 80,returning home :D
