Over crimbo I've actually done some work on my van

I've washed it more than once for a start, the buggers always dirty though what with the state of the roads at the moment. The major progress that has occured is in the form of a rickety table in the back for my twin burner stove, not ground breaking I know but it's always nice to have a cuppa

Lot's more miles have been done to and the mpg ain't sooo bad on a run and as I've got familier with the twin cam lump I've found it's ok around town too if I don't drive like a twat
No news on the wheels yet, I've still got the on the van as it happens... Must sort that out soon so I'm ready when I get the call.
Went up to Mablethorpe (350 mile round trip from here) for a beach racing meeting last weekend and she performed fault free, made good use of the stove too as it was chuffin cold

Few pics for you;
Could almost feel the arches dropping into the sea

Fully loaded, 5 blokes and 5 bikes

All preped up with boards to avoid getting stuck...

Arrrrgh f***sticks

We'd spent far too long loading up/drinking tea as the tide was coming in leaving not a lot of beach for a good run up into the soft stuff. Had to unhitch(kin heavy) trailer, unload 2 bikes in the van before digging like mad to save it from the incomming tide. Thankfully a kindly chap with a 4x4 helped out, it was a close run thing in the end which involved lot's of digging/pushing/sweating and swearing along with some violent tugging from the 4x4 (tow rope a permanent feature of the front tow eye now) far too much hard work at the end of a long day. I'm loading up on the sea wall next time for sure

Can laugh about it now, defo not funny at the time though those who watched the whole sorry performance may disagree.
