Not so much done today, the lack of light caught up with me.
I experimented with diodes for the lighting circuit and decided a bridge rectifier was better than two diodes, mainly because it had a hole in the middle which would allow me to screw to something or other. Also need to consider the current. Each of the LED strips is about 0.7A and I have six of them, so about 4.2A. A 6A bridge rectifier was chosen. More on the lighting and a final circuit diagram later.
The LED strip light was finished off with a terminal block in the right place to match the hole in the roof centre panel. The centre panel was cut and covered, but waiting for paint to dry on a bracket I made for the rear end.
Carpet cut and sprayed with glue.

Panel also cut and sprayed with glue. Not two holes - the small one is for the terminal block on the back of the LED strip light and the bigger one is where the original light would be. I've put a hole there in case I need to get to those wires in the future, but will cover it and leave it covered.
