Hi Muttley,

I'm interested in whatever parts I need to get c/l working on me front 2 doors m8
How much you looking for? What other bits would I need to complete? control unit/key fobs

thanks Ron

You would need a control unit and fob, you can get these from ebay, I dont want owt for the bits but they are down in Pirbright still on the truck, maybe I can get 'em off soonish but if you are in a hurry then just use the bits in the ebay kit

robbie.cee wrote:Nice where did ya get the unwin stripping from?
Looks like ill be bolting straight thru floor as still, not got legs or strip or clamps...
I do however have a nice steel bed frame to chop up n weld!

I managed to get the lot via the bay, just seen a thread with pics on another forum showing hows its done
Like you say just bolt straight thru floor, 12mm ply inbetween & can cover in industrial vinyl for clean finish.
Trouble is will need countersunk flat head bolts for a neat finish & for the seats to slide £49.76 + postage for pack 100 or £6/10+ direct from Unwin, just got their price list, their parts are so expensive. Will shop about elsewhere in the morning.

Could not get the fittings locally or on the bay so have placed an order with Unwins, the fittings cost more that the seats/clamps/track :x
Ordered some Vactan to cover all the fittings during installation to hopefully help keep the rust at bay, need to stock up on some good quality drill bits as approx 120 holes to do

Going to get new 12mm plywood/chipboard/mdf & some industrial vinyl so I can replace the compete floor covering & get a good flush finish against the rails.

What do you guys think I should use for the floor, the chipboard & mdf is about the same price, the plywood is double the price of chipboard/mdf?

Decided I will do the sides & bulkhead after but will carpet them instead of vinyl, just so it all looks good together.
Whats the best way to fit the bulkhead & sides in, screws/glue?
Should I wax/oil/Vactan treat & insulate the sides at the same time?

Going to do something with the ripped/dirty headlining as well, should I do this before or after the sides & bulkhead? or does it not matter

X2 it's worth spending the extra so you only have to do the job once, just varnish / seal the exposed ends.

Special feet that lock into tracking!

Ron mate the red oxide skins and sets quite fast so keep stirring and do small areas at a time!

I think they are, info below is taken direct from Unwin price list e-mailed to me 2 weeks ago so up to date.

Standard Removable Seat Fixture -M1 £36.52 Each (You will need 2 per seat = £73.04)

They sell other types which cost even more;

HAL with 2 fixing bolts-HAL2 £46.57 Each (£93.14)
HAL with 3 fixing bolts-HAL3 £46.57 Each (£93.14)
