Only the bends where off the shelf, we drew up the manifold flange plate and then took it to the laser cutters around the corner, along with 20 pipe flanges, cheaper than buying them.

Need some pictures with green bits in to cheer me up

Nick did take a couple of pics today, but we tinkered with the wiring

Nicks look a bit better fabbed - but then he had a flange (bought of the shelf?) If I were doing mine again I would use a single long flange (well make one) because mine distorted during welding so had to chop and weld when I thought I had finished!

And my flange that I had made (not brought of the shelf) was distorted after I finished welding all 3 pipes but wasn't a problem as I put it in the press and walla 1 straight manifold

Thats what I did... drew up the flanges individually and got them laser cut. Bolted them to a spare head and welded up the manifolds...

Good to know yours distorted too! Mine required a bit of adjustment (as you can probably see) and are still a bit distorted, but with some assembly paste are gas tight.

Its just a shame my engine is knackered... apparently you have Jonos spare 2.9?

Its all wiring stuff at the moment, doesnt make great pictures, the dash loom has been stripped and all the unnessarsary wiring removed, as a CAT 1 & 2 alarm is going to be fitted. All the engine bay wiring has been waterproofed and if anyone noticed that everything IS wired up in Nicks photo previous.

Anyway Im off down the workshop to do some work on my van, while Nick and Geoff are filming in London

The mint and clean engine bay makes me jealous (in the positive meaning). Great piece of work by the way
I think I have to do the same with mine. Most probably this it will be scheduled for the next year.

Dont think I'll painting my engine bay before Transitmania, its all looking very tired now, plus i'd like to go wireless too, which does take a while to solder in, so Im happy just to get there this year, but I want to paint the whole van again, I just can't make my mind up between toyota metalic white and candy blue, Nick doesnt like either and has suggested the new RS tangerine scream
