These are the two next worce bits to do, by the bonnet hinge and under the throttle pedal. I am planning on pulling all the extra wiring out from under the bonnet (there is loads) and giving everything a good coat of paint. Hopefully more pics to follow soon.

I think that whole corner was a water trap, the filler neck for the watertank is on the floor behind the drivers seat so has had 30 odd years of water being spilt over the floor.
The plans is to keep the drums and get it on the road unless front wheel cyls are silly money, I need to get a master cyl and somewhere i read fitting a mk3 one gave an improvement which is the route i will go down, With the heater box a pic would be usefull. I could really do with having a look at a mk1 and doing some measurements and drawings so i can get things like throttle pedal pivots in the right place, hole for heater hoses etc. . . Anyone local? :)

I have not progressed as well as i wanted to this week, I have the middle section of the bulkhead done which was my goal but would have been good to do some more, I think i will have to take the wing off to do the area in the corner properly which i dont really want to do as i dont have the time to start and finish it and dont want to leave it half done. My bending machine is not long enough to bend the repair section for the crossmember and i want to do that in one. I am currently doing the drivers side inner arch but someone has made it from P38 so I am getting covered in dust. It will all be done soon tho. Im hoping to get it out al least once this year

Hi, regarding your drum brakes. I had drums all round on my V6 Jennings, and i replaced all the cylinders and new shoes and they worked just fine. I got all the bits from my local motor factors. The parts are available, it just wether the factors hold the books to cover the model.

If you take the old cylinder down the shop and measure the piston with the book, as there are quite a few variations

I now have some time off work and im going to try and tackle some more welding. my goal is to do the drivers side. I have ordered a pair of steps and i already have sills and a 2nd hand wing. i need to repair the area around the pedals and the corner of the bulkhead (hoping easy while the wing is off).
With the drum brakes i have 7/8 front wheel cyl and i am yet to measure the back. I have just dealt with Power Stop with work and they seemed to carry a huge stock and give fast delivery. I shall update with pics as they come
