theres no weight limit to people in cars is there :?: if a car can hold 4 people theres no limit to how much they weight i dont think :?:

'fraid there is... what ever the vehicles gross laden weight is, it must not be exceeded or it becomes unsafe to use on public roads. People count the same as goods when it comes to weight in a car. Seems odd they don't weight people getting onto planes, where it's even more important to be under the max. weight. :)

If you know the history of the engine to be good, no need to strip it down, but if it's unknown, do some simple tests to check it out. Like a compression test... and if that gives bad results take the heads off and sort it out. While it's on the floor (or bench), it's not difficult to pull the sump off to check how much crap is in there and check the crank/big ends and anything else that you can see in there. Once you've done the basics, you may as well paint it up... how about a nice blue? :)

well heres the pics - i dont think it was over weight becaust i diddnt realise how small the engine was compaired to the boot of the metro - it only took up half the back
(i had a bet it wouldnt fit in...i obvously lost)

also bought a tailgait with a window in as i need a window to see out of when reversing but diddnt want to cut one in my tailgait - i could only find a mk2 one but ill just change the handle
