i have been doing a few small jobs on my van to get it ready for gaydon, i have now got a running water surply and some line-o over the wood around the kitchen area,

i have also done some things that i thought will make it look a bit better and to save the bordem, i also forgot that i had to change the head unit i brought as it started to mess around, so i went and got a alpine unit insted,

i have also managed to get a flat screen moniter (15") ad took it apart and wired it up so it will run of a 12volt battery, just need to work out how i am going to fit it in the back of my van,

and just a pic to show the guages in and working the blue light is so bright at night need to tone it down a bit,

the guages where easy to do the longest part was running all the wiring loom, i picked up the temp wire from the standard loom, and the oil guage comes with a sensor 1/8th npt and just remove your stand oil pressure light switch and fit the new one, or you can buy a T piece witch lets you run both the sensor and switch,

any way back to what ihave been doing, last night i started to sort out the moniter and some lights, and i have just finished it off, all wired up and working,

That looks f*cking awesome :D

I was wondering how hard it was to switch to 12v too. I'd be interested in doing something like that.

In van Wardriving :D
Then hopefully in van Warcrafting ;)

no inverter just found a moniter that has a 12volt input and striped the back off and worked out what i had to do and rewired it to work, have had it running and 12volt for about 3hours and no problems, so i hope its going to be all good,

i was worried about the fact that most batteries are about 13.5 volts but it doesn't seem to make that much of a difference and at the end of the day after the screen has been on for a bit the batteries will soon be down at 12 volts,

well the weekend of camping i needed to rewire the control switches as they where a pain to get to when the bed was made so i moved every thing about and used another 24 meters of wire and run all the electricsup to the side panel

i also made the second half of my head lining and carpeted it to match the head lining above the cab,

i also wanted to make the exhaust more noise so out came the center box and that has made a lot of difference well happy, its only a temp bit of exhaust until i turbo it and make a full stainless steel exhaust,

Did you know you can get a swivel for the front passenger seat which will provide much more room when camping? They are available from O Leary Motor Homes if you're interested.

Or look in early renault espace's they have swivel bases that can be fitted to most seats with some minor mods, the later ones are really hard to remove the seats. Also look at high end ford Galaxies, most of them have arm rests and tables on the back.
I brought a renault one from the breakers for £20
