Ok so firstly big thanks to AlanN for the caps, and finally to Captain Hook for his help and facilities and coffee !
Lovely day to play in the sun so we went to Sunny Wickford to get me caps fitted!

cut the front studs down too so i could fit the chromed nut covers! cheers for the grinder Barry!

Love the shiney bits! just gotta pull rears off at some point and jam something behind to stop the caps rattling in the recessed bit of the outer face of the hubs centres!

wheels were bout £15-20 each. £10 per wheel to redrill. few tins of primer n spray £25. tires too

realistically if you can get cheap tires, these'll only steal £125 outta ya wallet to fit, plus tires too.

speak to Captain Hook he da man for wellers n redrilling em. tires too!!!!

might even sort out shipping if you ask him nicely!?

I bet she did! i know how rare they are too!!! love em to bits but MUST put a spring or some wood behind the rear caps, or glue the to rear of wheel with mastic or something similar or both!!! only annoying at low rpm on bumpy concrete roads!
til my right boot drowns it out!

update too - less n less derv in fuel = less smoke now (and bit more poke? must be imagining it but it seems a tiny bit of derv in the petrol made it bit smoother revving up- poss as its altered the octane rating? guessing 2 star was in use when the 30 year old engine was first cast... whats that like, 85 octane or something?)
