Yes, looking forward to it, engine bay is looking very tired after trip to Southampton, road salt has ruined it

Allan's camera not working at moment so I got a couple today.
We took his3 speed auto out

And fitted it with a shiney new 4 speed



We also fitted transit v6 engine mounts so the engine is sitting in there sweet and not to far back

I wouldnt mind, but I only went in to do a service but its great to get a start on it

The new A4LD gear box is 4 1/2" longer than the C3, didnt think it would all work out, but by the time the fan was off and Transit V6 mounts went on, it all fitted perfectly, we didnt even have to remove the engine, it was supported underneath and the the van was rolled backwards on the ramps Just got to sort out selector, mod exhausts and shorten a bit plumbing

So now you have decided what colour your having on the van are you gonna keep it hush hush till its done and let every 1 guess

Silver would suit the van and look very smart and match that tasty gearbox.

Well, almost found a problem with my original propshaft, so it had to go, but luckily, had another one... sadly the centre bearing was shot, so we split both props and made one out of 2, fitted... no! something wrong, bearing cradle was fitted wrong way round from the last build, swapped around again and the prop fitted great. Another problem sorted, oil cooler connected, starter, alternator all in, this all going so well Tried to fit autobox dip stick tube tonight after work, wouldn't fit!!!, hits everything on the way up, borrowed a couple more from other boxes, don't fit, Nicks has bit of bending to do for me tomorrow although he doesn't know it yet Other than that, just hoses, selector and all fluids to sort
