Finally fitted the dash back in last night and got most of the electrics back in, a couple of niggly lamps not working, but I'll sort them over the next week or so. Forgot to put soundproofing back in before the dash went back in, but I'll struggle with that another day. Image quality off this phone is so crud :?

Nick arranged for the windscreen guy to come in this afternoon to fit the screen BrownyV6 gave me (cheers dude), until I sort the heated one later in the year, this one will come out when the van is painted.
Felt good getting all the trim back on around scuttle panel after a good clean up, shame I didn't polish the glass though

Got back onto Nicks van after an hour, coming really nicely, but Nick thinks we are pushing it for Transitmania, but I'm quietly confident

Left the camera at work
Anyway, took the van home last night for the first time since new box and engine was moved forward, first and second gear seem a bit low, 3rd is fine and 4th is brilliant at speed, revs really drop down. Only other thing Ive noticed, is the speedo is reading high, even though its the same pinion gear from the last box, please, I dont want to go through all that again  Just need to sort O/S exhuast manifold, as rubbing on subframe and noise is a bit much, but it sounds better, but I think it needs to be a touch louder  Think its going to need another electric fan fitting before we go to Transitmania as it gets too hot in traffic.
Still loads of little bits to do before Friday, but filled up with a £100 of super unleaded, should get me there

Have you still got the seal on the top of the bulkhead Alan (the one that butts up to the bonnet)? Removing that makes a big difference to the amount of hot air that can get out of the under bonnet area

Ive not tried myself, I will remove it in the morning, but on a hot day, it may not be enough, Ive done away with the viscous fan, so the second fan is a must me thinks.

Well I didnt get a chance to remove the rubber strip this morning... stopped at the shop around the corner on the way to work, came out... wouldnt start  cranked for 10 mins, checking every thing I could, no fuel pump noise, called out Nick, power to the relays, but no spark, no fuel, replaced relays, nothing :( Had to go to work in the end in a convertable Saab
One of the guys, Geoff went out during the day to have a look, found all the electrics OK, but no pulse to the coil. So Nick and me went back armed with a ignition module and dizzy, after work. tried the Ignition module first no joy, had to pull the polished dizzy out and refit a crusty one    I was over joyed when that crusty jobby kicked the engine back into life... 8)
