Maybe but Nick and Al will be doing more mods and paint jobs. I have a few tricks up my sleeve once the mine is painted and running. As you said if it's finished LOL

Gonna have a major sort out this winter, not sure I can beat the Green Meanie, as that is a cool one off and isnt finished (Ive just said that and realised that Nick made another bonnet and bumper for a Forum Memeber), so more for that one next year...
Meantime, Jono's is on going, but we do have another cool custom project, which we will hopefully get a start on and be ready for next year.

I think Im going to give up on the auto option, as much as I love driving auto, its been a total pain and Im going swap over to a MT75, using of the kits from work, but I can't remember which gearbox has the long 1st, 2nd and 3rd, I dont want to have to change gears too quickly. With my old box, 1st wasnt worth having with a V6

Generally speaking Alan - you need the close range box which is Normally found in the 80/100 SWB (but could be found in anything, as could the wide box)

Just looked at Guy88 tech thread on VIN plates and list the MT75 as these

C8 - MT75 5 Speed Close ratio (3.89)
AG - 4 Speed auto (A4LD)
W8 - MT75 5 Speed Wide ratio (4.17)
E8 - MT75 5 Speed Close ratio (3.61)

Ive checked that against my VIN plate and I had a C8 originally, but I seem to remember this having very close gears, but, it could have been changed at sometime in its life, as it had a 2.0 pinto when I got the van and originally, it was a 1.6.

So what the best one out of the two close ratio boxes?
