The floor had a few rust patches coming up,so that had to go




Then come across some rust so had to cut the chassi leg out

The qtr had a repair panel in it and it did look ok but I knew it was there
So I thought I might as well change them and sort the rest of the rot wilts I'm there

Well after sweat blood and tears me & Allan got the chassi zinc coated after all the repairs had been done,so we got the rear panel off ready for the floor

The outriggers were a little saw so had the refab them and the inner sill

Here is the chassi awaiting the new floor pan

The floor pan fitted really well,just had to take a little nic off one of the corners and it fitted straight in

Just waiting for my wheel tubs to be delivered on Monday and that's next on the to do list

Absolutely stirling work there geezer makes the stuff i'm doin look crude by comparison, wish i had the same facilities and an extra pair of hands now and again, would love to do the work to the standards you're achieving there

Ive been sitting here, reading through some posts today, thought I would ring Nick... He's been in work early this morning to work on the van, well, there's less than a month to go he said So Im off down there too, to do a bit primer around my windscreen frame

When I did a restoration I used self etch primer as it was supposed to be the best for fighting the tin worm, is the zinc supposed to be better?

You can get the best of both worlds in one tin a zinc based primer that can be used as an etch and also a high build, you just thin to suit (more thinners for etch and less for high build)
