I decambered them and used heavy duty front shocks on the rear to keep it level without making it too hard.
I will have to put on a panhard rod as I am within 25mm of the lip on either side.

Theres always somthing.....

A few small things to sort but driving fine and steering is completly different and now a joy to drive compared to the old setup.
The large wide wheels were the cause there as they followed the camber and dips in the road.

Worth the work and thanks to all for the advice and pictures .

Now the next thing is the panhard rod .
Was thinking about it and after driving it for a while I dont think its needed (hopfully)

Was thinking about banded steels..... Would they suit the van as I want to get it lower

Thanks

I am going to try banded 14 s today to see what there like.
All going well I will leave them on.

8.5 on the rear 7.5 on the front.

Will try and get some pics up of them on.

................or should I leave the present wheels on? :? :?

i often think (while following my van with someone else driving it!) that it looks a bit trolley like on the banded 14,s and have thought about running with larger diameter banded steels. but what would suit or fit the van, thats the question??? not sure would mk6 swb steels fit without modding the hubs etc and would they look a bit fresh.

was thinking maybe something like these all one colour silver with a slightly higher profile tyre???

when i 1st saw the current wheels i thought they were too modern - but after seeing the finished van i really like them 8)

still be nice to see what it looks like on the banded steels 8)

i chose 16" deliberatly for mine and i think its the right dia for modded mk2's - still wonder what i'd look like with 18"s on tho

Tyre guy did not have correct size. So ties/ wed before over to try them.that Orange transit is the reason I am trying banded wheels as I am very impressed with it since I saw it first.also been doing research on airbags as i have access to hgv parts though my job.
