I got most of my parts from the local scrapyard :D

Took a lot of hunting and a bit of time to collect. :D
I like a bargain and was on gumtree and ebay every night!

I was fairly lucky to find a complete mk7 in the breakers and get in quick! That was a bonus :D
My advise would be read as much on the job you plan to do, and the scrapyards are a good place to see the vans stripped down, without pulling your own apart first :D

Good luck :D

Quick update: I've removed the rear seats as it just wasn't working day to day for me, started fitting the heated seats, then........ The pump packed in! Had to get towed of the M8 by my mate in his little berlingo

Up and running again thanks to the guys on here :D
Pump was a bast@rd to bleed up :?

I'll get some pics of the seat mods later.
And I need to line up the front panels properly after stripping them down

Some pics of my work to the seats :D

Pumpy up lumber adjustment fitted

Heat pads fitted

Wiring for switches fitted

And finally the switches mounted in the modded pod :D

I've still got to fit the aux fuse board behind the drivers seat and just wire the relays.

Here's a question for you punto, how did you get the mk6 instrument cluster to fit into the instrument panel, the sides seem to wide to slide into? what did/didn't yo chop to make it fit?

I had to cut sections out of the dash at the sides to get the speedo head in and the used heat gun on the front Fasia and stretch the sides out and match the shape :D

Worked out not to shabby at all :D

Great work there mate love it ;-). Any pics if with the rear seats fitted? Did you manage to get triples in and how wide is the side cabinet for the 8x4's?

Thinking of doing summit similar but can't decide whether to do raised floor or the side cabinet??????

Cheers
I WILL GET THIS FEcKER RUNNING!!!

The rear seats were removed after about 6months, I had a twin seat fitted and it still left about 18" of load space behind the drivers seat. But I found it didn't justify the compromise in load space for the odd occasion it was used :?
