Hi, just curious what sort of size cars can these type recovery vans carry legally ? I know Transits are perfectly capable of a heavy load hence having had a jumbo with uprated springs (naughty) :mrgreen: Is there a knack to it like engine always up front etc ? Again just curious as cars get heavier :roll:

I would think that Most Transit Recovery/transporters are "overweight" with anything much more than a medium sized hatchback on the bed :!:

It does depend on how heavy the transit is, do it with the lightest weight and yes, you ru. Out of payload.... We can move the tonka toy on it....

ive fitted air suspension on mine, so just adjust it to look right when needed

Mine weighs 2200kg, gives me 1300 kg payload, legally :wink:

I've seen a few with what looks like just ally ramps on the back and not much else which I figured was to help keep the weight down, I've also seen a few of the fwd Ducato/Relays but we all know there crap :lol:

So there's a element of just get the job done :wink: :lol: There's a double cab one around here with a massive extended steel body and I've seen it with a disco on the back :shock:
