Cheers guys - i promise a complete picture - infact i'm gonna do a photoshoot as soon as ive got my alloys on the front - and they are top priority now!!!

today ive got the fuel gauge wired up - at 1st i'd connected it wrong so it went down instead of up..... wrong wire - i blame the pipes its dark under there now - and a pain to get under!! think i need a 4 poster!!!!

also ive wired in the fuel low light but i dont know if its working as ive got half a tank left in - judging by that its done a lot better back from gaydon than going ...... but only time will tell!!!

Todays update

Done most of the wireing for fans, im having them on 2 seperate feeds, each one fused - so if one packs up it only takes one fuse out, with 1 relay feeding both of them before the fuses, i think thats how it was done in the sierra (got them out of a twin cam)

also had a look at the front alloys (again) - main priority now and im confident by making new hubs and milling a bit off the carriers and the mountings i can get them fitted with only 10mm sticking outside the arch (35 at the moment) - im just not sure if that is an MOT fail or not - i might be able to get them back a bit more by skimming some off the inside of the wheels but i dont want to if i can help it

other thing i did was a quick look at mounting the central locking soleniods - doenst look too difficult a job

since the updates i did last week have been lost in the board swap - i'll re update

found out the side pipes cost me an extr £58 for the VAT and duty but still cheep and pleased with em

got fuel computer wired into the van gives me features like current mpg miles left in the tank and stuff like outside temperature

got some flex pipe today to pipe up the side pipes - should have them done before the meet

and got a bracket made to mount my rack forward - took a pic on my dads camera so i'll post it here when i get it

Todays update
spent ages with the flexpipe - trying to get them to line up with the pipes - pain in the neck it just doesnt bend enough got it sorted in the end - just got tomorrow morning to do up all the joints then they should be good to go, cant wait to find out what it sounds like

also the brackets need a bit of fine tuning to get the pipes in the right position, but that can be done at a later date

also today i took all the wiring for the cruise control out of granada, ive got the wiring drawn out and im pritty confident ive got it all famous last words its gonna take a while to get it all fitted as i need to fit a switch to the brake pedal, also the vac pump and actuator in the engine bay

once ive done that theres only the header tank level switch and all the engine bay wiring is done - i can tape it all up then it will look neat ................. eventually

havent took any pics but it will be at the meet tomorrow so i should get a few there

and still no front alloys

Well had a few problems with the flex pipes - the Ubolts wouldnt crush them onto the pipes no matter how hard i tightened them, so i used some high temp silicon to glue them on went for a test run and 200yds down the road one fell off
so...... i used a bit of rope to tie them on (just to get me to the meet) while i was there i somehow ended up drag racing nitroman

so as far as the flex pipes i'm gonna try welding them on

and as far as nitroman goes..........i'll get my own back ....... bring on santa pod

luke cant you just make normal pipes up if they are rubber mounted i cant see they would move that much attal!

i could do but its at quite an awkward angle and ive got 2 pipes fixed to join to, its only temprary till the turbos go on, but i was hoping for more than 1 day

well if you do decide to get some - a word of warning the mk3/4/5 is lower to the ground than the mk1/2's (between the wheels) i measured my mk4 up as i'd got it outside when i 1st got the measurments for the pipes and it was very close to the ground, but when i measured the cossy there was loads of room
