That's very tasteful Ned.
Although it's a bit too good for a "mobile sheep shearing tramp mobile"

Bit more, front interior is done for now, I'm basically rebuilding it but some bits will be removed for playing with at a later date visa vis ricer mods :o

I need the lair to be functional and so I need red1 to be motd and on the road. Then ramps in the lair so I can make some ricer mods money 8)

Offered some cheap matt black to the vinyl sub visors and associated plastic bits and wahey they liked it 8)

Big day today, does anyone remember tailgate gate? @punto443 @tango

I think there's only a couple on here that recall but @Altransit should recall. Anyway we were in a tailgate club sort of thing and bought uprated tailgate struts. I never fitted them to my van in the end circa 2012 ish.

Anyway the company were a shower of shite basically listing struts for vehicles without any thought for fitment. Nobbers anyway I fitted the tailgate tonight and thought hmm not sure I'd fit under that unless I regress back to when I was a seven year old girl

Anyway, that idea got thrown out, luckily I didn't suffer premature scrapulation with the tourneo struts, they fitted correctly and seem stronger. So up yours sgs engineering. :|

I remember the era well. Unfortunately.

Got some hefty struts here you could probably do pull-ups on the door overhang if you need something with a bit of ooomph
You'd probably need to adjust for fitment though

Strangely when the tailgate is bolted to the van it feels quite light until you lift it half to full. The original struts are stronger than this sgs crap things. To the point I have to use both arms to close the tailgate. Not much faith in the nipples though :|

Right so these bloody struts were strong as hell when I fitted them. Up and down several times and the day after it's like they've popped. Won't even try to hold the tailgate up. I fitted them fat end at the bottom. Wondering if that was wrong? I've rotated them but still the same. Will try today as they've been left overnight. Confused. Con :?

Might need some new ones. What would bjt do? :P

And find some stronger struts in the hedge :P

I just ordered some news chinesium struts from ebay for £10, bargain and will be quality of that I'm sure.

Speaking of Internet junk, temu steering wheel leather grip turned up.with needle and thread 8)
Only took an hour and cost £3.50 8)

Not perfect and didn't spend my life on the threadwork but I'm happy with it.

Oh I recall all right

I've never understood the need for one on a panel van, my vans were always loaded right up to the doors, and a tailgate would enable the escape of goods onto the road when opened. It's much easier for me to crack open a rear barn door and catch any falling debris before it makes a bid for freedom
I've also whacked my head on far too many tailgate edges to be a big fan, some of them only seem capable of opening to 90 degrees
