Oh yeah... Purrrrrrs like a kitty cat Couldn't resist and drove it home with cardboard on one side But it GOES! I am excited again, couldn't do it without you guys!

I was pleasently suprised how well the engine started...

I ran a wire from the stop solenoid on the pump and did the same to the starter solenoid... it caught straight away! Just the same in Lola

I can see that its going to be a very good engine

Well it only did 49.000 miles Lets hope I will not figure out a way how to kill this one in three minutes

Special credit goes to MinorMatt for driving all the way up from Southampton to swap out the engines AND connect up enough to get the beast ................................Lola running

Special thanks to Decky for letting me borrow his P/Steering bracket from his yet to be transplanted engine
And don't worry, Nadjenka WILL replace it for you, should you find a suitable power steering box for the MK2 it's going into (can anyone help with that )

And to let you know, I popped back and fitted the shorter bolt in the hole that holds the front of the bracket, as it seems to be wet with fresh oil So must be needed

You do the credits soooo much better than I ever could! But you forgot yourself......... As I wrote before - I don't know what I'll have to do to repay all that time you guys spent with me, efforts and cheers... I gave up on Saturday once again, Matt pulled it together - both Lola and me, but I was very close to loosing it. Lost the reason why am I doing this, why am I wasting peoples time, what was it about Transit that I am willing to ask for soooo much stuff? And today I just remembered it all once I was sitting in Lola and driving her home. It's the engine oil in our veins. It's the beat that goes with the beat of my heart I guess... I know - now I have gone too sfty and romantic on the mostly male forum - but I don't care - that is the real reason WHY.

And I will be waiting for the time, when I can return all your favours...

Hi Nada

a P/S box for a mk2 is as rare as rocking horse poo! In fact they dont exist and you need one from a mk3 LWB. Expect to pay £200+
