i've worked out the coil pack, i did my mounts different on both my other vans so the engine sat lower, this time i'm using proper 2.9 mounts and mine hits the bulkhead, so i hit it with a hammer and it fits now

I have done mine how you told me. i have used diesel rubbers so perhaps it is higher :?

Problem is on mine theres a strengthening bar where it hits :x Might just mount it to the bulkhead

thats it, coil pack can go anywhere, think the wire in the loom should allow you to put it on the inner wing if i remember correctly, if you need to.

i would say if it was a pinto 2.0 it will now have no trouble with emissions as these engines run very clean, but make sure you tell them its a 91 engine or even as mine is a pre production engine or they may want you to fit CATS, if they don't say anything i wouldn't worry.

i'm lucky, my van is staying the same cc just the number of valves that changing, also the engine i'm using came out the back door when the engines where being developed so has no engine numbers to find out prodution dates, my mates cousin worked on the development of the 24v back in the late 80's early 90's, my mate cousin had this engine in a 4i back in the very early 90's and rolled it, so my mate bought the car off him and we have been playing with the 24v's since then, back then a 24v engine would cost you £1200, but it was very fast in those days, not so powerfull by todays standards
