I believe you :P  NOT :!:

My seatbelt, lights, horn, washers, wipers, tyres, oil and water are ALWAYS kept in check :!:
And I agree that the MOT man doesn't need to be pointing the out obvious, as this gives the impression that you don't care about your baby :(
A wash and a super clean windscreen (inside and out) just before the MOT is also good idea  and makes a very good impression :D

Interesting :!:
Never had the dash out to see what it actually looks like under there :!:

I note that you have some sound insulation there :!: :o :o

How long does it take to remove the dash Guy :?:
Can I simply pull it back a foot, for some sound deadening

You can't get enough access to just push/stick extra insulation in with a partial removal, all told out and back in a dash takes a little over an hour, I'm sure Fords probably books it at around 3 hours though
The insulation at the top of the dash is a waste of time, it's more there to stop the plastic vibrating against the metal. If you want to go the extra insulation route then take the dash out AND the rubber firewall mats and put Dynamat behind it, I reckon all told that would be a 5-6 hour job though.
You may find that to add Dynamat to the underside of the dash would help as well but then you sure will be spending a lot on money.

I hope that i'm not speaking out of turn here but i'm with mad mark on this one, I always use the same garage for my MOT's and have done for the last 10 years or so and have built up a good relationship with them.
I always check vehicles over before taking them for a test and feel that if a vehicle of mine failed on something easily spotted not only would it be a waste of my time having to go back for a re-test but it would also be a waste of the garages time having to re-test my vehicle when it could have been avoided.
thats all well and good for you experts but i wouldnt have a clue what to check for an MOT and neither does my mum so i leave it for the MOT man

you shure luke or you tellying porkys????????
