Hmm, picture 1 seems to show floor mountings for new rear seats Mr P, yes :?:

So what are you putting under the floor to take the strain :?:

Will you be re-insuring :?: Do you need to get it inspected by "an engineer" :?:

Sorry for all the questions but as you know I'm going to be doing this soon :?

Under the floor I have 6mm angle section to spread the load

The reinforcers now sit just below the ply which will be getting cut out and the bracket being bolted directly to the metal.

I'm going to phone my insurance later and ask how much it would be to add seats in the back?? Then see how it goes?

I continue to be impressed with Aplan insurance :D

Provided they are proper crash tested and have seat belts, and not just a bread crate with a cushion
No charge, not even an administration fee :D :D :D

Is that when they are retro-fitted like ours will be :?:

Are they on a different time zone to everyone else :?:

I've heard all sorts of "must be inspected by an engineer" rumours  Think I'll be giving Mr Flux the boot if he gives me any agro then :?

PS Mr P, how did you decide where to put the seats, did you just put them where they looked about right, or measure up a factory van with them in :?:

I just put them in an decided that I needed about 300mm in front of them for leg space, then measured the mount positions off that :D

Must admit, I was very surprised about the seats? They did ask if I was doing Windows too, but I said no. Don't know if that makes a difference?

Lad in work has the same van as you same colour and everything Lol it had a bench in the back when he bought it and the insurance wanted 800 pounds extra  needless to say the bench was swiftly thrown out.

So, got my bolts delivered for the ford brackets, odd size M14?

Had to get them online, only grinders and mixing drill I know of use that size?

And steel spacers fitted to ensure metal to metal all the way. Got some tidying of cable etc to do.
But seats are fitted and insured :D

Would it be possible to make the bulkhead raise up along the inside roof so you don't have to remove it from the van. N
