Meant to ask you about your spare carrier at Southampton, but had other things on my mind What extra reinforcing did you add inside the door to carry th extra weight, Ive heard that the extra weight can rip the corner post on the MK3/4/5

I double skinned the door and used 12mm bolts with huge repair washers. Even so it did initially split the door skin but thay was because the wheel moved about too much. Now the tyre touches the door so it's all more solid

Well after a good two days at Mania the old Widow complained about the bed in the back of old Del, it was originally only a day van really and bed was not good I started today by stripping it all out and it soon looked like this..



Debbie wanted a proper bed and mattress with the head of the bed raised up, so this is what we have so far..



There will be storage under the bed with little doors, the oak cupboard/bedside table will house the 800w powered sub woofer and there will be homes for all the amps beside the bedside cupboard. After managing a measly 100.1 DB on the sound testing van I am adding two more amps and two more subs, a 10" and a powered 8" We have got a proper 2' 6" pocket sprung matteress to go on the bed base so Widow can rest her weary bod when camping

Found a bit of time to fit the ICE, it was a bit tricky as I now have 5 amps and only two pre outs on the head unit, fortunately one amp has an RCA output so I only had to split one RCA 3 ways and bobs yer uncle
