It's running :D

With removing the module on the back of the pump and little hand from "easy start" it's up and running.

Little video, has a diesel knock though so need to play with the timming a little more tomorrow.

Cut the wires in the loom and wired the mk5 hearter into mk4 loom

Soldiered a few more wires in, weathers rubbish so couldn't get a lot done... Hopefully more to come tomorrow

are you going to wire in the MK5 clocks??

See how different the connector is first, as early mk5s run a speedo cable

If need be then ya we will.

the plugs are completely different so the MK5 clocks wont fit a MK4 loom and the MK4 clocks dont fit the MK5 dash :(

i have done a how to on fitting mondeo clocks to a MK3, most of which is the same as fitting MK5 clocks (same wiring as mondeo) to a MK4 (colours may be different)

The mk5 speedo you tried, did it have a rev count built in?

the mondeo one did :wink:

same clocks as the MK5 with rev counter (only faces are different)

yep, same as the mondeo one, all MK5's have 2 plugs

Ahhh thanks for the help, what model Mondeo did they came out diesel petrol? Mk1 mk2 ?

ad yours is a cable driven diesel you need MK1 TD clocks :wink:
