With removing the module on the back of the pump and little hand from "easy start" it's up and running.

Cut the wires in the loom and wired the mk5 hearter into mk4 loom

Soldiered a few more wires in, weathers rubbish so couldn't get a lot done... Hopefully more to come tomorrow

the plugs are completely different so the MK5 clocks wont fit a MK4 loom and the MK4 clocks dont fit the MK5 dash

i have done a how to on fitting mondeo clocks to a MK3, most of which is the same as fitting MK5 clocks (same wiring as mondeo) to a MK4 (colours may be different)

the mondeo one did

same clocks as the MK5 with rev counter (only faces are different)

yep, same as the mondeo one, all MK5's have 2 plugs

ad yours is a cable driven diesel you need MK1 TD clocks
