Thanks to forum member Andy (Muttley) main chassis & n/s rear leaf spring is now fixed. cheers m8

Driver & passenger's floor has been plated, rust treated & painted.
Rear floor o/s & rear middle is plated & rust treated awaiting n/s before painting.

Still 2 do;
4 x small plates on various parts of chassis
1 x small fix on the n/s rear door bottom
1 x plate on outside but inside the rear arch (now that sounds confusing)
Need to do both rear lower corners before I can finnish the rear floor on the n/s

2 x plates on the rear x member, here's a picture of 1

Sort out n/s outer step/sill

Before I can rack my brains trying to remember where I put all the bits I took off & where some of the spares go

(Reguarding the n/s rear lower corner) Do I cut away the outside to get at the inside to repair this & then repair the outside? It had 3 skins as can be seen whats left, can I get away with using just 2 for the repair?
How do I rebuild the missing bit of arch at the bottom?

(Reguarding the sills) can I just plate over them for the MOT? then cut them out and replace them correctly in the summer. the outside bottom sill is not rusted yet  it's just the top bit seen in the pictures. or I was thinking of making up 2 plates with lips for the door seal & butting them up & welding them in.

Hello mate, still looks bad dont it? Not as bad though eh  The sills are not part of the mot except where they meet the outriggers from the chassis. Plate em up but weld all round, looking forward to some pics of your welding too :)

I think it is looking a lot better, but like most repairs they always look a lot worse before they are finished.
Are the outriggers
Here's a couple of plates I've done, have a guy from the mig-welding forum coming to teach me welding this Friday, I will have all day Sat & Sun on the minibus so by the Monday expecting quite a few photos to update :)
Am I right in thinking that if I am welding from above like in these pictures, I do not have to weld underneath for the MOT?

Looking good there, one side is fine for MOT, just tidy up underneath and seam seal an underseal

F.F.S It never rains ect. But no-one here/knows me yet? !

Need the van on axle stands asap, can't afford much, got 2 axles that say 2 tonne on each off them, is that each or combined as my van is 2830kg gross on the v5, don't wanna die by crushing, need to borrow a jack asap as mine will only do 26cm highst & it is for a car & not a van or an aeroplane for that matter, need to borrow a jack that can do 44cm for 1 min? drink/cash waiting?
