A lot of good work going on there mate.

Can I ask about the axle swap you did?
Are the single and twin rear wheel axles the same width?
Did the replacement fit the existing rear springs?
Was everything else, brake flexy, compensator, etc. in the same place?

We have one here that will be getting swapped the other way, twin off, single on.

Thanks,

TIM

I didnt have the single and twin axle side by side to measure the difference but im pretty sure the twin axle is shorter hub to hub.

The leaf springs are the same, but the leafs need to be mounted closer to the chassis, so you need the twin axle leaf mounts, in your case you will need the single axle chassis mounts.

Everything else was a straight fit!

Cheers, thanks for the info.

We are fitting a single wheel rear axle, with the wheels, to a truck so as to use the flareside body.

Any chance you still have the parts you removed from your truck?

Thanks again,

Dieselhead - i scrapped the brackets along with the old leafs, i did consider keeping them but didnt think anyone would want to convert the other way round!

Got the front hubs and wheels swapped over earlier aswell, ive ended up with a 185/15 and a 195/15 which is annoying but should of checked when i bought!

The cam belts on the list of things to do, should be at the top really!

Got the interior sound matt fitted along with a passenger doorcard, and some sound matt on the rear of the cab, should have done this a long time ago! So much nicer to drive and its quiet!

Also got my 6x9s in the front doors.
