Terry...My sets are over 25 years old !

Although working I would say they are only for show

in a "period" car or barge!

If you can get your radios to me I'm sure I can repair them !

If not I can supply a couple at the right price :D

As for pics of my barge......I'll have a look but,

I think they went with the van :(

His first action, a trip to the Assen circuit. To attempt a circuit day with Racing for Cancer. An institution for ‘sick’ families, to have a day of.
My sticker man is on holiday so the van is not finished yet...

Charity Days

Postby Terry » Sat Aug 18, 2007 2:53 am

Every November we used to do a charity weekend at Snetterton circuit.
The idea was on the Saturday every driver 'bought' 10 tickets (each valid for 3 laps) for £150.00. These were spent blasting family & friends round. Then on Sunday, they 'auctioned' the rides. There were ALL sorts of race cars turned up from 2CV to the latest Ferraris, Lambo's e.t.c. (they did HAVE to have the normal safety gear, roll cage e.t.c.), so you just bid for what you wanted a ride in. The circuit owners donated the use of the circuit for the weekend (it was 'out of season' anyway), half the money raised went to the British Heart Foundation & half to a local charity (different one every year). There were a few insurance 'issues' but generally all was well.
Then Jonothan Palmer bought Snetterton, and the tight bas***d would not donate the use of the circuit, he wanted his pound of flesh, usual rate too (despite being out of season). So that put an end to those. Amazing how greedy the rich are !
