Nighthawk wrote:the engine will run ok with the AC on , but if you can get the ALL the wiring fitted and have the PCM updated to a calibration with A/C it'll be seemless :)

Hopefully not too much more expense :| Will have to test the fans, fan relay and circuits and dropper resistor ass'y first, if they're ok then it's the PCM calibration :( ( )

Found the "fault" with the fans....don't know whether I should say, but some dozy t**t forgot to plug them in

The plug was just resting on top of the socket and is hard to see. Anyway, all seems well, A/C seems to work spot-on, fans come on low speed when compressor cuts in, and go off with compressor too, with no bad idling when system cuts in or out as before. Hasn't shown any further signs of leakage, and seemed ok all the way to the Northern Meet today.
Difficult to tell, as I've had the heating turned up, but air seems nice and fresh 8) 8) 8)
Need some nice hot weather now to really test it out.

8) Fitting the compressor and pulleys should be much easier on a RWD too! :D

Looks like I might have been the first to do this then :P

A/C systems apparently lose up to 10% of the gas per year :!:

Me thinks a re-gas is due cos mine isn't as cold as it was, especially down here in the sunny south

Does anyone know the part numbers for the air outlet ducts for the AC version?
Didn't realise that the Mk6 standard ones wouldn't work with the AC matrix! Doh
