if so, all this effort and hardwork will go out the window as you can only drive a vehicle under 3500kg on a normall cat a driving licence. this is the gross vehicle weight, NOT the unladen weight.
unladen weight of a lwb tranny is arround the 1900kg mark, add on your load capacity 1000kg, 1900kg etc and you get your gross weight.
i know for a fact it aint a 100 as it has a 6 stud axle........
1900kg + 1600kg = 3500kggazza wrote:hows that then?
1900 kg + 1900 kg = 3800kg - 300 kg too much.
its not the weight of the van empty its what it is capable of being loaded to
gazza wrote:where do you get 1600kg from? my van a 100 unladen is 1900kg - i have done enough scrap runs to know this figure is correct. my MAM is 2900kg
could a transit of this vintage weigh 300 kg less? is it the thin steel used on this van![]()

that doesnt include - driver, diesel, ply lining, bulkhead etc. my 100 swb is 1500 empty on the bridge (thats ply lines carpeted with diesel) so 100kg more for a lwb empty isnt far off the markeither way its just a rough guide
