lol, if they blow it, then you'd have a pretty good case for getting it fixed, especially as the newer testing systems should tell tales on them as to what rev range it was tested in ... too high and you could argue they were neglegent :P

86 i think is probably fast enough considering the weight of vehicle against age/design of brakes :P

sprinters, funny yesterday coming down the A15 from lincoln ,i was driving my LDV td (transit powerd) a 05 plate 311 came scerwing it up my ass ,i was doing 40mph stuck behind a few cars , it was very eager to get passed, soon as there where no traffic coming the other way i put foot to floor and overtook 2 cars, the sprinter did the same i well left it behind , again went to over take more cars leaving it behind, all this time i was in 5th gear ,i got on to the M180 took it to 65 mph and let it pass , had to slow down i was towing a trailer , i dont think he was impressed

Came down the M1 from Milton Keynes in MK6 today. Man does it fly! 80mph comes up before you know it and there's loads to spare, the engine doesn't even sound like it's trying. I don't know what engine it is as I couldn't open the bloody bonnet
Anyway it will be a slow experience getting back in my van tomorrow :( Still I'd drive at 55 all the time if I could get 450m from £40! How the hell did you do that?

glad your back on the road mate :D

funny enough i was going through the mental steps of .... nope - pattern part wont be available ... ford price - arm leg and left testicle ..... whaen i saw your post.

it cant be that hard to redesign it using thicker metal, thus not requiring any fancy shapes, just like the chassis cab ones mentioned, i think i would have had a go at making one, especially as the only reason i would have considered buying one was speed, and lets face it, it took long enough to come in.

i havent looked too closely at those parts before as they are different on the mk2, but i think i would have made one

how did you mean you couldnt get the bonnet open it should use the same key as the ignition key unless all the road salt has got in the lock barrel then they are bas**rds to get open

the iveco dealer i went to for the spring hanger had a look at the van when i went there and one of the blokes thinks being a police van when it was new it had some kind of reworked turbo fitted as it isnt a standard kkk turbo neither is it a garret :? and also had the fuelling set up properely :? something has been modded on it :D explains the fuel economy and the performance :D

Exactly! No ammount of twisting the key in either direction while leaning on the bonnet or pulling it made any difference. I gave up after trying for about 10mins :x . Good job I didn't actually need to open it.

this seems to be a big problem on all new fords when we went to the local stealers the other day they were breaking the barrel off a new mondy as the crud and crap got in there and seized it up best thing is to soak it in wd40 as often as you can

yes but it looks the same as a standard unit apparently the guy said it was some sort of variable pitch turbo :?
